Andy Hilton
Andy Hilton has roots deeply embedded in rock and roll and gear!
Having an aptitude for computers from a very young age when computers meant big rooms with men in white coats, Andy learnt at his fathers business in the school holidays and fell in love with computers way way before Bill Gates had even thought of a personal computer. This love of computers led Andy to go to Manchester University in England, the home of the very first proper computer.
However the student days were interrupted by an offer to help out emerging band Supertramp, which was the start of ten years touring the world as a sound engineer with artists such as Supertramp, Gallagher & Lyle, Paul Young, Wang Chung, Camel, John Miles, Bob Marley, Icehouse, Joan Baez and many more lost in the mists of time.
During this time Andy started the eponymous UK audio rental business: Hilton Sound which grew to be the largest purveyor of digital audio multitrack recorders in the world - marrying the science of computers with the world of music.
Consequently Andy and Hilton Sound became involved in countless projects by artists such as Dire Straits, Tears For Fears, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Bryan Adams, Peter Gabriel, Elton John, Roxy Music - the list goes on.
After nearly 20 years of running the rental business, and with several European offices as part of the growing entourage, Andy sold the rental busines, and since the late 1990s has concentrated almost exclusively on the software side - Andy’s real passion!
TBS is the result of a life inside music and rental businesses, and Andy is fiercely proud of having a product that has gone through several generations (in software terms) and keeps on churning things along with such great clients and friends.
Andy's passions are fine wine (South Africa is the best place in the world), cricket (South Africa again), and rock and roll - play Humble Pie through a large stack of WEM pa speakers and turn it up to eleven!
Craig Anderson
Craig joins the team with a Finance / IT Manager background with a very broad skill set including Accountancy, IT and Business Management. Has provided Accountancy and IT services, Business Information and reviewed Business Procedures in Banking, Education, Law, Government Bodies, Sports and Leisure, Accountancy, Interior Design and Not for Profit sectors. This diverse experience has created the ability to view business processes and problems from different angles, to be able to bring fresh eyes and cross pollinate knowledge from one industry to another resulting in quicker solutions, better processes and greater efficiency at less cost.
In addition to this Craig also brings over 20 years of experience working with servers and databases across multiple platforms and has worked as a systems integrator for companies of all sizes. Craig has worked with Omnis Studio for over 17 years as a Software Developer branching out into complimentary technologies like Java, Java-script, Python and Django. Craig is also a qualified IT trainer and has run training seminars for software developers in the UK, Europe, Canada and the USA.
A confident, outgoing person who, when he’s not working, loves indulging his first passion which is playing golf and needs very little arm twisting to sneak off for a round or two. His other passions include travel, music, dogs, flying and fine food and wine.
